summer break

We just finished our FINALS.
Exercise Physiology kicked my hind end. Why does a PE teacher need to know HOW the body works? All I care about is the outcome. I don't care about fuel sources, or ADP & ATP, or the KREBS cycle, or the Sliding Filament theory. I can honestly say that I will never (most likely) ever teach that in my Physical Education classroom when I am teaching how to through a ball or dance or dunk (because I can dunk).
Trace also got his world rocked by the GEOLOGY class. He as well does not care how volcanoes form, or the cause of earthquakes, or what % of water covers the earth. I mean honestly, is he EVER going to use that when he is climbing poles to fix an outage? Most likely not.
My point= schools require too many dumb "general" classes to get a degree in what you really want to do. Seriously-cut the crap.
On that wonderful note, I have 22 credits in the Fall and then I do my student teaching in the Spring. So that means I'll be graduated in approx. 8 months.

Ok, and that brings me to my second point. We have a week off (from school, not work.) WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

1. Yellowstone.
2. Lagoon.
3. Camping.
4. Hike to the Timp. cave.
5. YOUR IDEAS?
6. California would be awesome.
7. Arizona would be even more awesome.

Fly to NYC. Also, funny story...I have to know all of that stuff too. My exam in 2 weeks covers ADP/ATP/Krebs Cycle(Citric Acid Cycle), Muscle Filament Theory, all of that stuff. I am pretty sure that I could have helped you out with that stuff. It is amazing how much stuff I have learned over the past few years, and how useless it will be to me in approximately 3 weeks! I can't wait for my week off and the time in St. Maarten!
Seriously, we need breaks.

I wish you come take some time off and go somewhere but with extra work, it kind of wipes that plan off the slate. Just be glad you don't have classes for a day or two, I guess. Maybe a day trip to take a picnic somewhere would be nice. Take care of yourselves!

ARIZONA is the best option. forget the working - there is never enough money anyway- doesn't matter what you do or how hard you work.

well its a good thing you won't be a english teacher thats for sure!

how about you do something fun. Lagoon. I dream of that place (or what I imagine it to be). Do something that won't exhaust you (like how you drive 29.5 hours to visit family for 3.2 hours)...thats not much of a vacation. Thats just hell. We've been to Yellowstone. "Sure are a lot of burnt trees. Wonder if they ever cut them down?" California overrated and expensive. Looks like Lagoon is the answer. Don't stay home because you'll end up cleaning house and wasting time.

Thats my two cents...but its worth about 1,000,000 dollars!

haha you two are funny. I have an idea that will be great for the two of you... A staycation operation visit with the Stephens Family. We can do fun things like take the kids to the gateway fountain and paint my house stuff like that...
