Hello there friends and neighbors!

We are having a birthday bash for The Brodster and his cousin, Kaleb. If anyone is in Heber Town that day....feel free to stop by and say hi! I would love to see you! I only made like 20 invites cause they were a pain in the butt! Trace helped. He did all of the burning stuff and then he helped cut the pictures. Anyway, I thought they turned out cute. But seriously....Ash, Jes, Addie, Nicole, Meg-Nut, Caitlin, Amanda, Jamilyn, and anybody else. Come by! I would love to see ya and meet your cute kids!

My little fat john deere man...

Brody loves to wear Trace's hats. He puts them on and then holds really still for like .2 seconds and then takes it off and then repeats. I thought these pictures were really cute.

Trace says he looks like a little line-backer in this one. DOWN, SET...HUT HUT!! :) I just think he looks like a little squishable cute boy!

My "un" luck...

Can I just tell you how many phones I have lost, damaged, drowned, or crunched?
Let me just tell you.

1. 1st cell phone on my life got ran over and crunched. Unable to revive.
2. Replacement phone: droped in the toilet. Drowned- tried to give CPR-unable to revive.
3. Replacement, replacement phone: left somewhere between Mesa and Show Low. Lost without a trace. However, I eventually found it in the back of my truck. RECOVERED!
4. Upgraded phone: Dropped in the bath tub. Another drowning case.
5. I-POD (yes it is not a phone...but it WAS tragic): This event takes a little bit of explaining to completely grasp the full picture. It was winter...therefore there was snow and ice everywhere. I pulled up to my parking space, un-hooked my new pretty white I-pod, put it in my sweater pocket, and got out of my Rolla. Then all of the sudden this stupid freakin cat comes out of no where, and I think, "hmm, I shall throw a snowball/ice chunk at that dag-blasted cat." I took aim, wound up and threw...right on target...WHAM! I hit the cat right on the back. It was beautiful! I proceeded to do a victory dance. (It more looks like an old lady polka dance.) Then I walk inside my house.
A few minutes later Trace pulls up. Meanwhile I'm just sitting on the couch eating Cheetos or something. He walks in and says, "um, where's your I-pod." I smile and say, "It's in my swea... (as I pat my empty pocket) I mean car." Trace: "Oh really? Then what's this?" As he holds out my I-pod. Tara: "Oh there it is!" Trace: "Yah, I just ran it over...with my truck." INSTANT SORROW and SUFFERING. I-pod did not make it. Rest in Peace.
6. My new chocolate phone: lost somewhere between Provo, Ut and Show Low, AZ. My guess is that some indian on the rez is enjoying my lovely phone.
7. My replacement chocolate phone: My fat-a knee somehow ended up on it's face and the poor little thing couldn't withstain the pressure. It busted...well, more like shattered.

And that pretty much brings me current. In the past 6 years I have gone through 5+ phones and 1 I-pod...not to mention other things that I have somehow misplaced or lost or ruined. WHY? I have no clue. I'm responsible, I PROMISE. What causes this? I have not a clue. I DO know that it drives me crazy...and also my husband.
Anyway, point of the story...Don't text me cause my phone screen is shattered...and hearing a text come in but not being able read it PRETTY MUCH DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!

Hey there little buddy & Father's Day.

Yesterday Trace had a little run-in with a creature from the dark abiss.

It was a nice sunny day out. Trace and Don were working on some cabinets for the Harley Davidson shop. All of the sudden the Flower Lady from next door (She has a name...it's Lisa, but Trace always calls her the Flower lady) anyway...she comes running over to their shop. She's sure that her building is under attack by a creature from underworld. So Trace and Don are off to the rescue. (Your typical nights in shining armor...??? ha ha) So they look around and find a fuzzy baby raccoon hidden behind a barrell of flowers or something. Trace, being the funny guy that he is, bends down to do a Will Ferrell impersonation off of ELF, and gets right in the raccoon's face and says, "Hey there little buddy, does someone need a hug...." AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN the little demon jumps out and HISS, HISS, GRRRR, HISSSS, GRRRR and shows his sharp little devil teeth. Trace jumps back and, as he put it, "assumed the fetal postion and screamed like a little girl."

Ha ha ha ha!!! That little fella didn't live to see the light of another day. (Sad, but true.)

On a different note. It is FATHER'S DAY today! I would just like to take a moment and thank my pops for being such a great dad and example to all of us kids. Thanks for teaching us how to be hard workers, stand up for what we believe in, love the gospel, have fun on family vacations-even though there were sometimes a LOT of set backs and mishaps and "Oh hell" moments. Thanks for teaching me how to drive on the back roads of Vernon! Thanks for helping me remember which pedal was the BRAKE pedal...after I drove through a fence, ran over some stumps, plowed through the fields, and pert near got your truck door torn off. (The door was your fault though, you're the one that ran into it...after I slammed on the brake.) I love you dad. Thanks for your love and support through the years. Thanks for being a great Grandpa too!! My Pops in law is one amazing man as well. He's a very hard working business man, a devoted family man, and definately a man of service to his fellow beings and his Lord. He is very special and is always willing to help those in need. He is firm in his beliefs and is an example to all. He is very supportive and even though he has 12 kids he has a way of making them each feel very special and loved. I know Trace is a better man because of his dad. Thank you Lon for all that you do for us. We love you. Also, I would like to give a quick shout out to my best friend and my lover boy. I love Trace and think that he is amazing. He's such a hard worker, WAY fun to be around, a GREAT dad, good lookin, a really good cook, and he's learning patience!! Brody and I love him very much. Thank you Trace for all that you do. You are the best Husband/Father in the entire world. You deserve the "World's Best DAD" award. Congratulations...YOU DID IT! :) Love to all the father's out there.

Flowers and our BIG BOY...

Just saw this picture from a YEAR ago. Brody was big then...and he is big now! :) Congrats to Danica, HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! One down, eternity to go!My sweet hubby sent me flowers yesterday. To be completely honest...I was shocked. I think I looked at the delivery lady like she had DEFINATELY rang the wrong door bell. I said in a confused voice, "What are these for?" She laughed and handed me the card.

Aren't they B-E-A-utiful? I love them. And they smell SO SO pretty. THANK YOU TRACE. Oh and he sent them to me JUST BECAUSE....no particular reason. It made me smile.
Brody is full of new tricks these days. Check him out.

Brody's new thing...

Sorry for the post overload...just one more for today. I promise. Brody learned how to throw the ball and he gets the BIGGEST kick out of it. Sorry it is so dark! I should have turned on a light.

Swimming summer fun...

Brody is an expert swimmer. Look at him floating all by himself. You can't even see Banning in the water. Brody loved to play with the football. He only knows how to doggy paddle.
Banning swung Brody around in circles. When he was done Brody's eyes were still going around circles. It was hilarious.
Me and chubby cheeks Budah drying off.
Brody loved cruising with Savannah's firetruck. He's getting good at walking. He'll be off in a couple of weeks.
