We went to Arizona for the 4th of July. We saw and hung out with lots of family and friends. I'm so greatful. We really did have such a lovely time. Good food and good company is always a wonderful combination....but when you add FIREWORKS...it is THE BEST!
We got to go up to GreensPeak for a little dutch oven cookin and mountain air.Brody turned TWO. He is no longer my little boy. He's big and everyone lets me know it. He is learning so much and talking like crazy. He is stubborn and sweet. He is fiesty and cuddley. He is a know-it-all and loves to learn. He always says "HUH?" He is busy. He loves fruit snacks and chocolate milk. He is awesome.

As I said before, I had foot surgery. Over the weekend I was asked "What did you do to your foot?" approximately 267 1/2 times (which is also the population of Heber, AZ). So....here's the story:
So there I was...
I was a senior in high school. I was wearing some "HEALIES" (you know, the shoes with the wheels on the bottom of them). Yes, I was cool....stinkin awesome cool.
I was cruisin the halls right before lunch and suddenly...a switch from carpet to tile ALMOST ended my life.
I was a very unexperienced healiesier-- which is defined as a person with an amazing ability to ride on the healies with full function and ease -- Because of my inexperience I did not know how to regain my loss of control as I went from the slow moving carpet to the SLICK as ice tile.
Therefore, I went flying across the entry way of Show Low High School, did a few flips and rolls, back pack flipped over my head, hair everywhere, and some how amongst all of this my shoe flew off and my big toe SMACKED against the wall. (explecit, explecit)
It hurt like H-E-double hockey sticks, however, I tuffed it out. I never got it fixed.
FLASH FORWARD 7 years...
My foot still hurt. I got it fixed. End of Story.
Here's me and my little "helper". He's feeding me some grapes...and yes, I felt like a princess...only with an ugly boot on my foot instead of a glass slipper.
Please Note: I can't find my camera cord. I stole these pictures from my mother. I have some really good ones...now if only I can find that darn cord. Therefore, pictures of my Arizonian fun are soon to come....as soon as I find the cord.

It was nice seeing your fam over the fourth! To be honest i did not notice your foot... good thing right? I did notive how incredibly good you are looking though! HOT* and on our walk home my sister in law Caroline asked me and ANdrew what happened to your foot or leg... me and ANdrew both said "what was wrong with it?" Both of us were oblivious to your "black" boot against your jeans... haha I had the same thing happen to my toe... minus the healies... Mine just came from a table with crusing force down on my foot:) although my fix didnt work:( welcome to the boot club
