Reading. swimming. bowling. playing. eating.

Brody has this little "Peek-a-Boo" book that he absolutely LOVES. It is the ONLY way to get him to hold still for more than 5 seconds. He looks like a little old man....well, minus the frog chair and if he had some sweet bifocals on.
As I said before he loves to put things in and out of the little bucket seat on his truck. Now I have pictures to back up my word. This is him opening it.
This is him taking the hat out.
And this is him putting the ball in.
We also took him swimming the other day. He loves to splash in the shallow end. But you see those slides and what not in the background? Next year he'll be all over those. I actually went down one of the small sides with him...then I got whistled at by the life guard and she said, "NO adults." Then like 2 seconds later this "little" girl that weighed probably 20 more pounds than me (bless her heart) slid on down the slide with no problem and no whistle. What the heck...seems a little bias to me?

I took Brody down the BIG slide. He was laughin and havin a good time until we hit the big drop and then he screamed like a little girl. He soon recovered and enjoyed the rest of the ride.
This is him splashing on the edges....
Then on Saturday we went bowling with my Aunt Dana and Uncle Gene in means to celebrate all the August birthdays. It was fun to meet up with the family and spend time with them. Plus, Dana makes a great Chocolate Spice cake....it was delicious! Oh and check out those two front teeth. They are HUGE!!
Ok, so Trace and I get pretty competitive when we bowl. It's not like we are THAT good or that we go very often...but when we do...look out. Things get a little crazy. I was winning the ENTIRE time and then all of the sudden Trace made a come back. I ended up losing in the 10th frame, 158 to 156. It was HORRIBLE. Oh and Brody loved chasing the balls around and trying to run after then down the lanes. Dana kept the kids pretty entertained with Gold Fish and Graham crackers.
This is my goofy cousin Jenalee. She is hilarious and is always laughing at something. See that cheezy grin? I think it runs in the family cause I got a picture of my Aunt Dana doing the exact same smile...along with me and Danica and my mom (see Ruidoso post). Dana told me NOT to put that picture up of her on my blog. (You're lucky I'm so nice!)AND last but definatley not least...here is the little Bro-dizzle dancing his heart out. He can sure shake that little rump of his. (Oh and that loud laugh you hear is my mother's. I have it saved as a sound on my phone and Brody thinks it is hilarious...it seriously sounds like she is in the room.)

First, I can not believe you tortured that poor boy and made him go down the dark water slide! That is funny picture the chubby Brodster screaming like a girl. Bless his heart, do you blame him?

It must be the age, but Max and Brody remind me so much of each other. The mannerism's, facial expression's, oh and of course the chub. That badger milk is working wonders on that boy.

Trace, thanks for the advice, I think that I am more relaxed this week so hopefully I can keep the perspective.

We just went to a water park and I can't wait to take our kid. Oh, I have had my heart set on Gavin for our babies name for a long time. Unless he comes out and we totally don't see him being a Gavin.
That video of him is soo cute! I love when little kids dance, I bet it is even better when it is your own!
