A visit from the New Yorker

My oh my...time is flying by. 6 days till Christmas and counting. Let's see...I haven't posted in quite sometime. Maybe I'll do one or two today...if your all lucky!
Let's start things off with the fun-filled days of Uncle Rusty Pants coming to visit us. He flew in on Sunday night....boy were his arms tired! (ba-da-dum-cha-CHING!...that was retarded...I know.) When we got to my home we decided to do our Christmas exchange. I was just too excited to wait. (I HEART Christmas!) Soooo...I busted out his present. Oh the anticipation and excitement...if you look below, Rustin looks very thrilled...
Oh the excitement. Well, he tore into the presents like a 4...no 3 year old little boy would. What was it?, you may ask. It's a, it's a....it's a....NOTE: Which says, "Rustin, I found something of yours over in Apache Junction." (To those of you who have never listened to Rustin's voicemail...you need to...it's so dumb.) Along with the note was a 1989 style Fanny Pack. COOL. Now it is Trace's turn. (It's best to visualize the whole gift exchange thing.) So Trace rips into his present....to find...lo and behold...a....it's a....a......umm....what the????....a FANNY PACK!! WOW. We were laughing so hard. I got it on video. (See video above!)
Anyway, then Rustin gave us some other presents, which I can't disclose at this time because I do not want to ruin the surprise for others...

So, while Rustin was here, we decided that we should go SNOWBOARDING and get some fresh mountain air in those New Yorker lungs of Rustins! What a wonderful idea...considering the last time Rustin has gone was before his mission. And I've only gone...3 or 4 times...if that. Needless to say, the first couple of times down were a little rough....just a few minor falls and slips and profanity!
Anyway...here are a few pics from the day...
This is Rustin, his New York friend, Norm and his wife Racheal. (By the way, they are super cool.)

Me admist the beautiful scenery!
Rustin doing the "I'm cool pose"...or maybe it's the "I'm to sore to smile pose!" ha ha.
Norm, Racheal, and the snowboarding freaking Queen...aka...ME.
Us, praising the Lord that we survived the fun/crash-filled day of snowboarding. (On a side note: Rustin did pick up snowboarding very well...in the words of Norm, "He's a lot more athletic that he looks!" :) He was a carving fool by the end of the day.)
After boarding, we came home and just maxed and relaxed and did a little of this and that. Rustin and Brody seemed to have a good time together.
You may find yourself asking...Where was Trace during all the snowboarding excitement? Well, we was stuck at home cause I thought it would be cool to take both sets of keys to both cars. Yep, I'm pretty much the coolest wife EVER!!! But doesn't he look so cute in his UPS work uniform?

I'm so grateful you and Rustin got to spend some time together while he was out here. I know he really wanted and needed to spend some time with you and your family. You always have such a good time together with laughs and fun. You have snowboarding experiences you will always remember and of course the keys. Ha. Thanks for making his trip to Utah so memorable. dad

i love the new posts. especially the video. that was hilarious. looks like Christmas there with all that snow. It's beautiful. I had to play the video several times so I could hear Jenalee laugh in the background. I was trying to figure out who it was but it didn't take long!!!!
