So my mom and dad got to come up for the weekend! It was sure great to have them here. They were so excited to see Brody. They got here on really late Thursday night...well, actually really early Friday morning. I got work off on Friday so that we could hang out all day. We ended up driving up to Park City. The Provo Canyon was so pretty. It definately looked like Fall....I LOVED all the pretty colors. We ended up stopping by Sundance Ski Resort because Trace and his brother Beau helped remodel a cabin up there. We took lots of pictures. The cabin is so cute and it has the prettiest little stream that runs right by it. I hope that one day the guy that owns it will let us use it as a weekend "get-a-way!"...that would be FABULOUS!
Anyway, after the little detour, we got to Park City and went to the Outlet Malls! We ended up getting Brody some handsome little sweaters and some really warm pajamas. We got him 2 6-9 months size and 1 12 month...thinking that they would be baggy on him. Well, that night when we tried them on, he fit him them quite nicely. CRAZY...my kid is a TANK! We only got to spend about an hour at the Outlit Mall because we had to get Trace back home for work. (Even though I begged and begged him to call in sick to work! ha ha!)
While Trace was at work, the rest of us went out to visit Dana, Gene, and Kailee. We had a good visit and enjoyed the pizza. When we got home, the D-Backs were playing and I am pretty sure that it occupied the rest of the night! (However, they ended up losing in the 11th....the pitcher WALKED IN A RUN...who does that????)
The next day my mom and I got to have a girl day's out. We just got to spend time with Brody and run to a few stores. I love my mama...she is such a wonderful lady and always makes me feel so special. We met Dana and the gang for lunch at the BYU creamery. It was actually pretty good. Then met up with my dad and went to the mall and a few more stores.
THEN...that night my mom and dad offered to babysit Brody so that we could have a nice date night! (That was SOOOO nice of them!) We went to Outback Steakhouse with our bestest buddies, Jaime and Banning. I must say...it was DELICIOUS! We also went to Old Navy. They were having a dollar sale. I got 3 shirts for 3 dollars! That is better than a Thift Store!! COOOOOOL!!! Brody looks a little high...but we still love him!
Sunday we just went to church and chilled. Tammy made us a roast and Jim Jim set the table! It was a yummy feast! Come to think of it...it seems all we did over the weekend was eat, shop, drive, and then eat some more. No wonder I enjoyed myself so much!
My mom and dad left this morning. Brody was sad to see them go. He loves it when family comes to visit. Oh and they left us with a wonderful surprise. Before they left they cleaned my ENTIRE house! Showers, floors, carpets, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry...EVERYTHING...I'm pretty sure they even cleaned some of the baseboards. Oh, and my dad vacuumed the stairs! (I know all ya'll are impressed!) It was so nice to come home and have the house sparkley clean! We enjoyed having them here this weekend! Thanks for everything mom and dad! We love you!
OH...and this is Brody enjoying his travels in the lovely fall weather!

I love it when family comes into town too. Today, I came home and my mom had made dinner, organized my closet and bought me cute decorations for my house. I get too spoiled when they are here. It looks like you guys had a good time. Oh and my wedding picture was funny because it was the coldest day of the year and windy. So we ran outside took a few pictures just in time for my veil to fly off and then we had to chase it. The few pictures were my favorite of the whole day.
Tara I just love Brody. It sounds like ya'll had a good time. I'm jealous mom and dad didn't clean my house when they came down but maybe when I have ankle biters they will...hint hint. I hope you're doing good. I love you.
We had a blast visiting in Utah with everyone, especially Brody. He is SO cute and cuddly. We love him. Thanks for letting us chill at your house, Taralee and Trace. I enjoyed shopping with you, Taralee. That was fun. and the housecleaning was just a bonus. Don't expect that every time! ;o) So don't get any ideas, Danica! Although we would gladly clean your place. It's a fraction of the size of Taralee's!!!!
Is Danica making an announcement?
no, I think Danica's just using that as leverage to try and get some cleaning attention.
oh, and Mowgley is a pretty cute little guy. I especially like the one where he is glaring at the camera and looks a little high. haha. that's great.
Thanks Taralee and Trace for letting us stay at your place. You do need to empty your vacuum when through. I went to empty it and it was soo full, I had to go back in and vacuum everything twice. You have a large home and all those stairs. It was great to see ya and spend time with Brody. He is lots of fun and what a little temper, feed me NOW!
