For Easter we went over to my Aunt Dana and Uncle Gene's house. Their whole group was there and it was nice to hang out with them all. As I was going through the pictures...I noticed I didn't get one of Jared and Shiloh or one of Chad and Mel or of Jenalee OR of Dana and Gene for that matter. I was just caught up in the moment of Brody's first Easter. Anyway, we tried to bounce him on the trampoline and it was pretty much as successful as the "sticker" idea. (See previous post.) So ya, he didn't like to bounce. The poor thing clung on for dear life. Here are all the kids on the tramp...and yes, Gene AND Trace qualify as a kid.Brody finding his first egg, but if you look close...he's more interested in the grass. I think he probably ate 5 or 6 handfuls of grass. Oh and he also enjoyed mashed potatoes, strawberry jello, oh and ice cream and chocolate cake (provided by Trace). So he had a nice Easter feast for sure.
This is him...finding the egg. And yep...straight to the mouth.
And to the mouth again...
This is Chad and Mel's little girl, Adelaide. She is SO cute and so much fun. And ofcourse, Brody has something in his mouth again.
Brody is checking out his goods. Oh and don't you like Trace's new hair cut. One night he got home from work and went up stairs. I was watching a movie downstairs with Brindi so I really wasn't paying attention to where he was and what he was doing. I went up there when the movie was over and saw that he had shaved him head. He said that he got really hot and decided that it was his hair that made him so hot, so he got out his clippers and buzzed it. ha ha.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!

Sticker fun
We had another night of fun up at Banning and Jaime's house. Brody loves to crawl over to me and climb up my legs. He does this about 98% of the time I'm standing up and he's on the ground.

All you can eat...
We went over to Banning and Jaime's for some family fun. This little red rocking chair is so cute...and so is the squishy boy sitting on it. Check out his guns.Savannah wanted to join in the picture fun and tried to crawl on Brody's lap, but was unsuccessful. Cute picture though.
After that they all go to take a bath (Jake, Savannah, and Budah). They had so much fun. Brody's a little monster in the tub.
Oh and last but not least. Trace decided that Brody should learn how to feed himself...
Not bad eh?

A birthday shout out!
Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Ash! We were just young bucks in this picture.
I'm just going to list a few memories I have of her...they may just be single words, but I know she'll understand...a lot of them are inside jokes.

Hard core Brody
Rustin got this shirt for Brody for Christmas. It is 12 months so I had it in the closet. Good thing I got it out...it's almost too tight. If you can't tell, it says, "Born to be wild....New York." SO cute. The only thing is...is that I THINK it might make his face look fat! What do you think? :)
Brody rockin it Hard Core!
Thanks Uncle Rusty Pants for the sa-weet shirt!

The weekend...
On Saturday we got up and did a little spring cleaning....Trace just LOVED doing it (wink, wink). That was tremendous loads of fun! hmmm....then after that we went to the mall....yet another one of Trace's favorite past times. ANYWAY, this is us before the trip to the mall. Brody's little ears stick out of his hat. I always push them in, but Trace likes them out. The above picture is me making a funny face at Trace. Ya, I'm pretty sure I'll never intentionally make that face again! In the one below, Brody looks so thrilled...doesn't he?
Oh and this was the reason we went to the mall...I GOT MY TOES DONE! Spring/summer is on it's way. I'm ready for the flip-flop weather, even if I have to force it.
Brody just chillin in his crib.
Dad and Brody were worn out from the long day. (Actually this was a different day...but I thought it would be cool to say that.)
So I also cleaned my sliding door yesterday. It just had so much build up from the winter weather. Anyway, as I was cleaning it it made me think of a story....Let me just tell it to you:
First off, for those of you who don't know my Papa Doy Reidhead- he is a little old cowboy, with a cowboy hat, wranglers, boots, spurs, mustache, chew...ya, the whole kit and caboodle! He's been know to swear a time or two. In fact I think I recall him talking at my cousin's missionary farewell and saying "Hell" in church! So, now that you have a nice image...on with the story. It was Rustin's farewell party and Brody's blessing party and the whole Reidhead clan was gathered at my parents house for some hamburgers and a fiesta. My mom had, of course, cleaned the house before hand. Well, everyone was sitting out on our back patio, just visiting and what not. Someone happened to close the sliding door. Well, Papa gets up to go into the house and WHAM...runs right into the door, pert near knocked his hat off. He doesn't really say anything...just opens it and walks in. (I'm in the background, trying not to laugh...looking around to see if anyone else saw what I saw.) Anyway, the party continues back out on the patio...Papa is back out there at this time. Then he gets up again to go back inside...takes a few steps and WHAM...hits his face on the sliding door again...this time leaving a face smudge!!! And these are his words...and I'm quoting so it's ok, "Tamra must have scrubbed the hell out of this. This is the cleanest, damn, son of a bitchest door I've ever seen." ha ha ha. Oh that was hilarious. Anyway, I have a really clean sliding door and it's funny what triggers memories...and that's all.

Wild Thang...
Brody is all over the place. One of my favorite things to do now is to lay on the ground and have him crawl and wiggle all over me. I ABSOLUTELY love it.
Other things that have been going on:
Mom and Pops Porter came up for a visit over the weekend. (Just for a day.) We got to go out to dinner and then go to the BYU vs. Airforce basketball game. BYU is on a roll. They have a really good team. The best part of the whole game was the 1/2 time show when the cheerleaders came out! (Not typical for me to say that, but....just wait...I'll explain why.) Over the loud speaker the announcer says, "Please be patient while the cheerleaders and staff roll out the mats. It is a new requirement and the athletes are not allowed to tumble on hard surfaces." Ok, now I'm thinking, "whooses." So anyway, they get done with that and the music starts. About 45 seconds into the performance this one cheerleader does some sort of tumbling flip cartwheel thing and lands it short, like up on her toes....and she can't keep her balance, so WHAM...she face plants it. She doesn't use her hands or anything, just WHAMMIE...right on her face. (Trace, Brindi, and I burst into laughter....rude, yes, but it was so funny.) Then she gets up and the dance routine continues. The guy cheerleaders throw the girls around, up, down, around this way, around that way....it was pretty cool I guess. Then when this one chick was WAY high in the air, she somehow lost her footing and came crashing down. She was seriously centimeters from getting her face slammed against the mat when the guy cheerleader caught her. (Again, laughter from the Porter clan.) There were a couple other near-falls, but they somehow regain their composure. All I can say is, GOOD THING FOR THOSE MATS! Anyway, that was probably the highlight of the game. Well that and the fact that BYU won by a lot. They have the longest home winning streak out of all the college basketball teams.
Well, I was going to upload some pictures of Brody today, but I just noticed that I haven't taken any new ones lately. Weird, cause that poor kid usually has a camera in his face like 24/7.
