On Saturday we got up and did a little spring cleaning....Trace just LOVED doing it (wink, wink). That was tremendous loads of fun! hmmm....then after that we went to the mall....yet another one of Trace's favorite past times. ANYWAY, this is us before the trip to the mall. Brody's little ears stick out of his hat. I always push them in, but Trace likes them out. The above picture is me making a funny face at Trace. Ya, I'm pretty sure I'll never intentionally make that face again! In the one below, Brody looks so thrilled...doesn't he?
Oh and this was the reason we went to the mall...I GOT MY TOES DONE! Spring/summer is on it's way. I'm ready for the flip-flop weather, even if I have to force it.
Brody just chillin in his crib.
Dad and Brody were worn out from the long day. (Actually this was a different day...but I thought it would be cool to say that.)
So I also cleaned my sliding door yesterday. It just had so much build up from the winter weather. Anyway, as I was cleaning it it made me think of a story....Let me just tell it to you:
First off, for those of you who don't know my Papa Doy Reidhead- he is a little old cowboy, with a cowboy hat, wranglers, boots, spurs, mustache, chew...ya, the whole kit and caboodle! He's been know to swear a time or two. In fact I think I recall him talking at my cousin's missionary farewell and saying "Hell" in church! So, now that you have a nice image...on with the story. It was Rustin's farewell party and Brody's blessing party and the whole Reidhead clan was gathered at my parents house for some hamburgers and a fiesta. My mom had, of course, cleaned the house before hand. Well, everyone was sitting out on our back patio, just visiting and what not. Someone happened to close the sliding door. Well, Papa gets up to go into the house and WHAM...runs right into the door, pert near knocked his hat off. He doesn't really say anything...just opens it and walks in. (I'm in the background, trying not to laugh...looking around to see if anyone else saw what I saw.) Anyway, the party continues back out on the patio...Papa is back out there at this time. Then he gets up again to go back inside...takes a few steps and WHAM...hits his face on the sliding door again...this time leaving a face smudge!!! And these are his words...and I'm quoting so it's ok, "Tamra must have scrubbed the hell out of this. This is the cleanest, damn, son of a bitchest door I've ever seen." ha ha ha. Oh that was hilarious. Anyway, I have a really clean sliding door and it's funny what triggers memories...and that's all.
