4 Days out of 11 without my little Brodster...AND counting.
Day 1:
Kissed his little cheeks goodbye. (I cried...just a little.)
Walked back into the super quiet house.
We had to leave because it was TOO quiet.
Went shopping. Bought some stuff for my little man.
And a new rolling pin for me!
Went out to eat at PF Changs.
Missed the smell of Brody after his bath.
Day 2:
Woke up to the complete sound of silence.
Had to turn on some music to drowned the awkward silence.
Wondered how Brody was doing.
Went to school.
On the drive home called to check on my little man.
Went to work.
Came home to a quiet little home and decided to clean.
Swept and mopped without having to hide the "dirt pile" from my 1 year old.
I shampooed my carpets....TWICE.
I picked up the toys...ONCE.
Called Grandma and told him to give him goodnight kisses.
Day 3:
Saw a dog in the park and knew how much Brody would have loved it.
The house of silence is SO weird.
Thinking: What did I do before I had a kid?
Went to school and then work....thought about picking up extra hours, which I didn't.
Practiced throwing frisbees for my homework.
Made dinner.
Missed Brody following me around in the kitchen...smacking his lips so I would give him something to eat.
I was tempted to turn on Sesame Street.
Looked around and realized how big the family room is without toys scattered EVERYWHERE.
Went and got my hair cut.
Again, I missed my freshly bathed Brody and his "2nd wind" before bedtime.
Got ahead on my school work.
Day 4:
Crazy, did you say crazy? I went crazy once.
Crazy, did you say crazy? I went crazy once.
Crazy, did you say crazy? I went crazy once.
Crazy....Ok, I won't say it again. But you get the picture. I'm going CRAZY without my little sidekick.
Just to let those who are watching him know:
He LOVES animals. Especially dogs.
He doesn't cuddle very often...so when he does, TAKE ADVANTAGE of it and cuddle him while you can!
He loves to sit outside AND play outside.
He loves food and will most definately be hungry after his nap.
When he gets tired he rubs his ears and eyes.
He loves to climb on things.
He loves balls...they entertain him for a long time.
Play some music for him and he will most likely shake a leg.
He loves books read to him.
Give him lots of kisses from his mama and pops cause we MISS HIM LIKE CRAZY!!!

thats very very sad I am sad... Do you want to borrow my kid for a few hours?
Oh my, why oh why is your little guy gone for eleven days? We always think it will be nice but then we feel like we lost our right arm huh? Good luck!
haha.... oh man, I totally BALLED the first time I let Halee go to Show Low without me.... and she was over a year old! It really is so hard, but just try to enjoy it.
I added your momma, so tell her I said HELLO! I love that lady!
Tara, you are making me miss Brody!!! Hang in there!
so sad!! It was hard when we went to Mexico and left the boys. I think we called at least 10 times a day to make sure they were alright. But this is a good break for you! Do somethings for yourself now.
Taralee,
Ok so I was at the BYU game last weekend and totally saw Trace walking Brody around in the stroller. He walked by alot and I kept thinking...gee, that looks alot like Tara's husband and kiddo! Now that I know you live in provo...I am thinking it was probably them! If you go to a game let me know so we can meet up and say hi!
1. Brody is an amazing boy.
2. Brody has amazing parents (I guess that's why he is amazing, too!)
3. We had a blast with him here.
4. It makes me cry to know how much you are missing him.
5. Trust me when I say Brody had tons of kisses and hugs and loves and tickles and laughs.
6. Thank you for making our Grandparent's Day the best day ever.
7. We love Brody so much. He's funny and sweet and tender and ...amazing .....did I already say that???
Oh Tara, bless you. You are such a brave mom!! I still have not let my four year old have a sleep over yet anywhere.
I don't blame your parents for taking him, for as cute as he is how could you not?
Hang in there. I bet he is having a blast but will be so excited to see you when you get there.
i just hope you learned how to throw a frisbee with all that free time that you have. Also, it's kind of endearing that you miss your little cute kid so much. you'll be fine. Put your big girl panties on and deal with it. He'll be home soon.
you sure are brave! i don't think i could do it! hang in there!!
haha, loved your marriage tag. hilarious as always..
i really wouldn't mind taking pictures if you want some, it would be fun. but i only have a sony cyber shot that is over 3 years old. no fancy camera here!(yet. i will get one sometime soon i hope!)
