so you know those cute profile picture shadow things that some people hang on their wall of their whole family?
well, i want them.
i want them on the walls of my cute house-trailer.
some like hers (Nie Nie)
i took some profile pictures with my camera. (dot was sleeping at the time so i need to do hers asap.)
now i'm at a stand still. what do i do next? should i just go to the library and rent out a projector?

any tips? any ideas?
As for my house-trailer...we are re-doing things here and there. I need to post some pictures of that once we are all "done." (note: we will never be "done"...hopefully we will be moved out before it is "done" to my liking.)

On that note: i dream of house plans. french doors. white cabinets. wooden island with a restaurant metal top. a mud room painted yellow with a cute picnic bench with a million coat and hat racks. wooden floors. new washer and dryers (ones that don't shake the whole house). crown molding and white, thick baseboards. Dining area with my white table and a cute runner going across it. a fireplace. glass tile backsplash. grass. flowerbeds. garden...
seriously...it's quite sickening how long the list goes on and on.
BUT, quite frankly...I would love to have a house. Question though: Do we build the house that's in my mind? Or do we get one that's "ok" and just make it work? Do we buy a fixer-up-er and try to sell it in a few years (like 5 or so)?
Ok, so insert thoughts about:
1. Profile picture shadow things.
and 2. House ideas.

and i thought my house list was long...good hell woman. fixer uppers are hard work. we did not buy a fixer upper and we still have put in a ton of work getting up to par and its exhausting.
and i don't know how to do the profiles. i would've just taped a piece of paper to the wall, shined a light and traced the profiles. maybe its harder than it sounds?
Do you have photoshop? I made some profile pics of us over here too (ha ha actually I made one of Brenden...I didn't use mine because my nose looks ginormous). If you don't have photoshop, send me your profile pics and I'll make them for ya! It's super easy! (Let me know....just email me at nikki (dot) saline (at) gmail (dot) com.
Your house list sounds like mine. I'm pretty sure we won't have a house for oh.....another 25 years or so. ha ha. Which might be a good thing because for some reason after 2 years I get antsy and want to change everything in the house. Which is nice when you can move to a different apartment, but not so nice when you're in a house. I'm mental.
Well Tara...I know a GREAT contractor named Bill that would LOVE to build you your dream house ;) I got the hook-ups for a great deal, so let me know. ha ha.
ummmm i am all for dream homes! :) but fixer uppers always seem to turn out so cute too. i think you can get creative if you're in a house and thinking things up there. who knows?
when i did my silhouettes i just too the pictures into photoshop and cropped them until they were all proportionate with eachother. for matt and i i printed them out as an 8x10 (because ours are in bigger frames) on plain white paper and the boys i printed out as 5x7. once they were printed i took a black pen and traced the outline how i wanted it (around hairlines and whatnot) and then used my exacto knife and cut them out. then on really sturdy black cardstock i traced those with a pencil and then did the exacto knife again. fun stuff!
good luck with yours! you'll have to tell us what you ended up doing.
buy a fixer upper. for sure. you are going to get way more for your $ right now. all of your house dreams can be realized in any fixer upper. And way faster than if you built. K?
You are going to want to jump off a cliff. either way. don't say i didn't warn you.
good luck with the photos. sorry i can't help you there.
I have lots of house wishes too... and one of them is that I want to live close to YOU. =) Oh and you are brave to want white cabinets while raising kids.
Pretty sure you can find someone who makes sillouettes on etsy if you don't want to make them.
