A name and a blessing:
Last weekend we headed to Arizona to give this little lady a name and a blessing.
Her name: Dorothy Kate Porter (surprised you didn't know that)
The reason we named her Dorothy: My Nanny (my mom's mother) is one dear, sweet, fiesty, beautiful, strong, loving, wonderful, and amazing woman. She knows how to laugh and she knows how to tease. She knows how to take a joke and she sure can dish one out. Therefore, my little miss Dotti has some big shoes to fill in her own little way.
The reason we named her Kate: Quite frankly, I liked it. But...deeper meaning would be if you take Kenneth (my husband) Trace's initials KT...it kind of sounds like Katie...but I liked Kate better and WHALAH, there you have it. Dorothy Kate Porter.
I believe she is a doll sent straight from heaven.
The dress she is wearing is actually MY dress from 27 years ago. She has her own and it is quite delightful as well. (pictures to come of that...she wasn't in the picture mood this afternoon when I tried.)
I love her. I love her little rolls and dimples. I love that she blows bubbles non-stop and smiles everytime you talk to her. I love that she sits on her Poppi's lap and watches sports.

Yes, that explosion on Gampa's lap was something.....something none of us will ever forget! haha She looks beautiful in your little dress and looked just as beautiful in her own dress. I love her, too! She is quite the little gal.
Oh seeing her in this little dress brings back memories. Funny how I could remember exactly what your dress looked like. I remember you with your adorable chunky cheeks in that dress. Maybe I remember your blessing so well beacause you and Amanda were blessed the same day.
Tara please know that I truly love you and your family. Jim and Tamra have always been sweet and kind-such a good family and one that I have always looked up to.
I pray little miss dotti has a wonderful, healthy and Gospel filled life.
She is adorable, I love all her little rolls and her great big eyes! I think cubby babies are the best! I love that she was blessed in ur dress, so sweet!
WHat a cute name story! Macie wore my dress too when she got blessed! She's beautiful guys. I love her big eyes.
