7 am...bright and early. Ready to rock n' roll.
I delivered Dot 8 hours later. She was 5 lbs 14 oz and 17.5 inches long. (I recommend having a 5 lb baby to everyone.) She is SO tiny and loveable. She has two dimples, a pouty bottom lip, and is my favorite baby girl so far! It amazes me how perfect she is.
Brody LOVED her. Everytime he walked into the room he said, "Where's the baby?" Then he told the doctor that he needed to fix her belly button because it "hurt baby dorothy." He gave kisses and was soft- for the most part.
Trace was so excited and loves his girls so much. (Note: this is pre-shower)
After getting cleaned up...her AND me. Is it just me or is the shower after delivery pretty much the best thing ever? I can't say it enough...she is DARLING. Absolutely darling.
She did her hands like this all by herself. Just makes me realize that she comes from a very special place. 
One proud Poppi and Dot in her "come-home-clothes". Nanna and Grandpa bought the smallest outfit they could find and it still was a little big. 
As for recovery...I am feeling great. My husband has been so sweet to me. My mom and dad have pampered me, kept Brody entertained, fed me, done my laundry, and cleaned my house. To say the least- I've been very well taken care of.
I am so excited to have a girl. Bring on the fingernail painting, hair-cuts, earings, PINK, dolls, hair ribbons, and all that fun girly stuff.

Congrats! She is so cute and half the size of my babies. I'm glad she is her. Have so much fun with her. Girls are funner than boys they have more clothes thats for sure. (Be ready Trace)
Congradulations you guys. I love the excitment that a new baby brings. Such joy. She is precious, and you are beautiful. I wish I look that good in the hospital. Little girls are so fun! I love the name Dorthy by the way. :)

While reading this blog, I am not going to lie, I got a little teary-eyed. Miranda Lambert's "The house that built me" came on as I saw the pic of Dorothy with her fingers interlocked. So cute. Congrats. I can't wait to meet her!
heavens tara! that little girl is adorable! she looks just like a reidhead i have to say! congratulations!! and you look great in all of the pictures. i find it completely unfair. :) enjoy your days with a new baby and take it easy for as long as you can.
I am with ya on the 5 pound babies.. Both my kids were 5 pounders! She is so cute! congrats.. oh and I am all about the shower too!

Oh my gosh shes beautiful! 5 lbs! holy smokes She is tiny. I love her. Now all our kids can have friends close to their age. Don't you just love putting her clothes and hair things on?!? The best.
