Oh the days...

Just cause Trace said that he didn't want ME to post, because "Show Low sucks"...I'm going to do it! (He's just jealous cause my class was bigger than 24 "people"....or should I say hill billys!)

1. Who were your best friends? My best friend was Brenda, but Bobbi Jo, Laura, Karah Lynn, Jamie Nik, Douglas Alan Mathis, Jason, Matt, Corban...gee...I could go on and on. I guess I was more popular than TRACE!! (take that!)
2. What sports did you play? I played volleyball and softball. I played basketball, but I sucked...I think we lost every game by at least 40 points...sad but true.
3. What kind of car did you drive? Don't be jealous ya'll....1990 ford BRIGHT CHERRY RED station wagon with automatic seat belts. We called it "wild thang!!"
4. On a Friday nights what were you doing? Going cow tipping, throwing stuff of the bridge...or at the football game, watching a movie, or chillin around a bomb fire.
5. Were you a party animal? No, not so much. But I was the class clown for some reason. I guess people thought I was funny...I had to have a good since of humor to be proud to drive that station wagon.
6. Were you considered a flirt? Me? I just laughed a lot....
7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Again, don't be jealous, I was in the marching band my Freshmen year...don't laugh...I didn't know any better! I didn't know any of the songs, I just pretented to play.
8. Were you a nerd? I believe the previous question just called me out. I can't hide it now.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? Just kicked out of class for laughing too hard.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? As a band member, I was supposed to know it, but I usually just mouthed the words. I know the "Go go really go, really go COUGARS go....tum de dum...la la la...hmm, hhmmm, hmmmm"...close enough eh?
11. Who was your favorite teacher? Possibly Coach Slade, cause I just aided for him and got to sleep on the couch in his office. I didn't learn very much though.
12. Where did you sit during lunch? I don't think I ever ate on campus. We all piled in Wild Thang and either went to someone's house or Subway or R & R pizza.
13. Name the school full name? Show Low High School
14. School mascot? A muscley ripped COUGAR....ROOOOOOOAR!!! (Better than some whimpy pony!!)
15. School Colors? GREEN AND GOLD
16. Rival high school? Guess it depends on the sport. But I always disliked Blue Ridge. And Cornflake during softball season....dumb Hobos...I mean Lobos.
17. Did you go to Prom? Yes, with my best bud David Gentry.
18. If you could go back and do it again, would you? High School? Maybe just to play sports and chill wit my homies.
19. What do you remember most about graduation? LOTS and LOTS of pictures, a few tears, and I didn't like my hat...OH, and I stole a National Honors Society robe thing, rope, and pin. ha ha. I wore it with Pride too!!
20. Where did you go senior skip day? Probably Moylen's pond and went swimming and stuff.
21. Favorite memory? Oh boy, I can't pick just one. Maybe over night sports trips. Those were always fun.
22. Were you in any clubs? The Hiking Club...well I wasn't in the club, but I went on the hikes.
23. Where did you go most often for lunch? "mmmm, I ate a big red candle."
24. Have you gained some weight since then? At first I weighed less than I did in High School, then I had Brody...let's just say I'm not quite back down yet. (wink, wink!)
25. Who was your senior prom date? The one and only David James Gentry.
26. Are you planning on going to your 10-year reunion? Sure, why not?
27. Who was your home room teacher? That was soooooo 1995.
28. Who will re-post this after you? I tag Danica and Amanda.
29. Who was your high school sweetheart? Pretty sure it was David, but he was "just my best friend" my senior year.
30. Do you still talk to people from high school? Oh yes. Bobbi Jo came over last Sunday...and thanks to the wonderful world of blogging I get to keep in touch with more of my friends.
31. Did you win prom queen or king? NO, I was cool, but not that cool. (remember...I was in the marching band.)
32. Where did you work in high school? At the City Pool, Payless Shoes, and drove/wrecked tractors at the Farm. (Mostly wrecked them...or sunk them in like 7 feet of mud, that was fun.)
33. What were your grades? Mostly A's and one or two B's.
34. What was your dress style? Thrift store shirts, blue jeans, and tennies. I didn't get all dolled up very often.
35. What year did you graduate? 2002.....Yahoo...GO SHOW LOW!!

haha... you two are so funny. I can't believe how alike you are. I bet there is never a dull moment in the Porter home. =) I think the only thing that would have made high school better would be if we would have hung out with T-dizzle. How cool would have that been?

We were really excited to play the good ol' cats because we knew it was a guaranteed win..........j/k hahah .......(but really we did)...Just kidding! I actually dreaded Showlow in Track because there was this girl that was like 6' tall and would sometimes beat me in high jump. Tara even though you are a cougar, I do think you could take on Trace anyday!!

Isn't it called a BON fire?? It must be hill billyville out there if ya'll are saying BOMB fire. LOL!!!! And I am CRACKING up at your dad's comment! You didn't put that you were voted Most Beautiful!!! OR was that JUST at the family reunion?

Taralee said...

NICOLE...It probably is BON fire. HA HA...I'm not so bright sometimes! That made me laugh though.

Nicole, you've obviously never been to a "hillbilly" BOMB-fire. haha Too funny....

Oh and Nicole...I was definately NOT voted most beautiful. Don't you remember my hair back in the day? Just a giant friz-ball. They didn't have straighteners back in the day...or at least I didn't know of them...cause I was a hillbilly! (or something like that!) :)

OH and dad...why do we need to talk?

Taralee... do you remember that picture I took of you in your cougar sweats pulled up to your chest and that goofy hat on? I just found it in all my pics and I think I am going to try to scan it and put it on my blog. =) haha. I freakin love you and love how you can always make me laugh. =)

Amanda, I don't recall...but uh I think I need to prepare myself to be imbarrassed. "I instantly regret that decision!"-anchorman.

From one hillbilly to the wife of another hillbilly: It is hillbilly not "hill billy"; it is because not "cause". And those mistakes were just in the first sentence! Need I say more? haha
